That whole thing I posted this morning was crap. I didn't donate blood and couldn't check out my book. I had to buy that thing...debating whether or not I should read and return--yes I know this is cruel, and really cheap, but I don't care.

My dog is injured. Something happened when I took him out tonight and now he's injured his leg and has a limp. I feel horrible about it because I was supposed to watch him.

"an intellectual understanding of mortality did not prepare you for him to suddenly cease to be...and it cut like a knife to know, to finally comprehend that this was the doom she had chosen for herself. To after a time, simple not exist."
I am very content :)

I stayed up until 3AM today reading "the sisterood of the traveling pants"--which stace gave me for my birthday and I just now got into. It was very nice, and now I'm gonna go check out the sequel from the library. I guess I figured I should use my library card--plus it doesnt cost money, unless you have fines...which are just scary.

Yesterday I ran 1.5 miles--which I haven't done since frosh year. I almost died though...hahaha! But there were these people who walked one lap then left(?)

Now I'm gonna go off and donate blood...It's a great day to be alive :)

whatever happened to my? whatever happened to my? whatever happened to my LUNCH BOX?

(i'm going insane).
highs: surfing, reading, running, looking at the stars, the forest, the beach, tumbling, watching a sunset, JUST ALL OF NATURE, music, love, rollercoasters, smoothies, getting letters, writing, sometimes driving, biking downhill -- sometimes if everything is right those things make my heart feel like it is going to explode. i'm sure there are other things that could be grouped there but i cant really think right now... its just like those things give me that feeling where i feel like if i died the next minute it would be okay and i wouldnt really care. or all of the other crap that ever happened to me in my entire life is cancelled out by this one moment. or i dont care about annoying people or mean people or stupid people because this beauty makes up for everything that is wrong with everyone. and i feel like after being exposed to this i can never complain about anything ever again because how can you complain when you have experienced something so amazing and vast and far more significant than items and money and blogs aaand that brings me to...
lows: reading other people's blogs, extreme heat, paying for gas, running out of money and borrowing and not paying back and borrowing borrowing borrowing, reading other people's blogs should be mentioned again, getting yelled at, that burning piercing pain in my shoulders and back, buying things, trying on clothes.

sfjdfjdvjgjdogodfoo I HAVE NO IMAGINATION
hey i ddint know courtney loves house guest on the osbornes was kurt cobains little sister. interestingggg. oh make me a red cape, i wanna be superman.
my sister is cool..
here and here

i went surfing today. the best part of it all was changing into warm clean clothes at home. oh and the weird but hot lifeguard oh yesss. but the best part of the DAY was RUNNING. running and listening to john mayer and it was just me and him and the sky. you havent really seen the sky or the starts until you go to the stadium after 8:30 and lay on the ground and look up and let yourself forget that you are alive. im not trying to sound poetic or anything but laying there listening to john and not caring about ANYTHING and just staring up at the sky which was so so deep deep deep blue with tiny little silver sparkles... ah i just felt so insignificant but also so important. i cant really explain it but it is that invincible feeling that you get when you let every single muscle in your body relax. i should go there and just lay down more often. but im always scared of getting raped or something. the world would be so beautiful if it was not home to the billions of people who ruin it. damn people.

im really stupid because i not only forgot my ucla password, but also my EMAIL. who forgets their email?! anyway laying there, staring at the stars made me really excited for orientation so yay. and i better go write doug a nice letter b/c my last three were sort of bitchy. i cant really help that... well yes i can. i am a mean horrible selfish person that likes to feel important and liked and wanted and remembered. ew i make me sick sometimes no all the time.

i should finish CARAMELO. ive had it out for like 4 weeks.. it is so so good but i am a lazy bum. mmmm caramelo. it sounds so delicious. HAHM. what else??? yaaawn i am tired as heck. i think im eating less. and moving more. that is a beautiful thing.

i know after reading this you think i cant write put my commas in the right place formulate my sentences correctly choose the right words but im not trying. and if i did it would be fake its not like im trying to write a novel.

i am SO sick of my family--- thank goodness i'm going to orientation for a few days and then maybe a trip for a week. i really need to get away from them.

surfboard= almost as good as new (its never as good as new maaan). next project-- fixing up matt's shortboard and then AHH using it AHHHHHH???

today-- biking for 1.5 hours in the canyon. WOW SO TIRING AND SCARY. encountered one snake, 4 deer, and one million bloodsucking mosquitos.

I AM SO FREAKIN TIRED
okay, i didnt get my soc class but everything else im okay with, i think. no wait...i just found out that i'll be running across campus just to reach my other classes in 10 minutes. yessss...i love running.

www.ratemyprofessor.com is my new best friend.

YES YES I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN!! I love that part... shane west/landon carter is a LOVER. Corinthians...I love those verses. One of my all time favs ever... it makes my heart feel lighter.

i'm trying to order Bend it like Beckham on dvd from England...but I have to get a special kind because apparently the DVDs in Europe are different than the ones here...learn something new everyday.

OH but we totally forgot, the movie theatre where we watched it was straight out of BNW. But I personally think they're aliens.
i know i say this every time but i LOVER the part in 'a walk...' where she's in the cafeteria after she saw the mean VIRGIN MARY flyer and she starts crying and she turns around and falls straight into landon's comforting embrace. I LOVE THAT PART SO MUCH IT WARMS MY HEART.
I Co. 13:4-8
“Love is always patient and kind; it is never jealous; love is never boastful or conceited; it is never rude or selfish; it does not take offense, and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people’s sins but delights in the truth; it is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes. Love does not come to an end."

i just watched A Walk to Remember for the 4th time. landon carter= lover, big time.
today is the best and worst day of my life. best surfing day in so long because i didn't feel scared and i didn't hesitate. my thumb doesn't move and there are two big scratches from the fin but i feel SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO INVINCIBLE. i feel so empowered and alive and i sound really "gay" but WOWO WWOWOmwajfpgps. the water was so warm and clear and the sun was out and the seaweed was gone and so were the people. it was the opposite of lj shores and definitely worth the $4 parking fee.

BUT THEN. i NOTICED--- a HOLE in my sister's friend's surfboard. i've calmed down a bit and i will try to get it fixed tomorrow.. we will see.. something like this always has to happen.

this expires tomorrow so tomorrow is the last day but go to www.antshill.com/quiznos.jpg because there is a coupon for a FREE SUB (up to a $5.59 value or something bc you can get the STEAK one which is so expensive), with the purchase of a drink and chips (only $2.38). THAT IS SUCH A GOOD DEAL!!! yah, you're welcome. just a little thank you for being a supporter of this blog. haha

bye
SONYA YOU ARE A GENIUS...or that girl is a genius. Unless it's someone annoying, then you are the genius.

Hey wanna "see" something cool??

John Mayer: Damn baby, you frustrate me.
Michelle Branch: You looked my way and said "you frustrate me"

Coincidence? I think not.
okay, i gotta say i stole this IDEA from some girl's website...but everything I wrote is completely original. And everything John told me is completely accurate. I would never misquote him. ;)

MY INTERVIEW WITH JOHN MAYER

S: Today we will take a few minutes to speak with one of the greatest guitar players/singers/song-writers of all time, Mr. John Mayer. Welcome, John.

S: Let’s talk a little bit about the past. I understand you attended the Berklee college of music. Did you learn a lot from the professors there?

J: They love to tell you “stay inside the lines”.

S: So you don’t regret dropping out?

J: The good boys and girls take the so called right track– grabbing credits, maybe transfers...they read all the books but they can’t find the answers. Something’s better on the other side.

S: Ah, I see. So you aren’t thinking of resuming your studies anytime in the near future?

J: I just can’t wait ‘til my 10 year reunion. I’m gonna bust down the double doors.

S: Okay, let’s move on. I hear you’re living in Manhattan. How is that working out?

J: I never liked this apple much– it always seemed too big to touch. I rent a room and I fill the spaces with wood in places to make it feel like home, but all I feel’s alone.

S: But for some reason, I get the feeling that you’re starting to warm up to the cold, dark city. Why? Is there a girl maybe? ;)

J: I’ve got a city love. I found it in Lydia and I can’t remember life before her name.

S: How did you two meet?

J: She called up and came to me covered in rain. We spooned and I knew I was through when I said “I love you”.

S: That is so sweet. And what did you say after that?

J: “You want love? We’ll make it”.

S: What?! John! That is inappropriate... this is a G rated interview, you know.

J: My stupid mouth has got me in trouble. I said too much again.

S: Don’t worry about it. She is a very lucky lucky lucky girl. Would you say you have a steady, committed relationship then?

J: I’m never speaking up again, starting now.

S: No really, John. Don’t worry about it. How is your relationship working out?

J: She comes and goes and comes and goes like no one can. She’s slipping through my hands. I can’t be her angel now– you know it’s not my place to hold her down.

S: Yes, I understand.

J: The way she feels about me has changed. Oh, what’s a boy to do.

S: Well there’s plenty of young ladies out there that would love to “spoon” with you... I’m sure everything will work out.

S: Let’s talk a little bit more about the past... what can you tell us about your childhood?

J: I can’t remember life before her name.

S: Oh yes, that’s very sweet, but.... I’m sure you can remember something....

J: Most my memories have escaped me or confused themselves with dreams.

S:....

J: Well these days I wish I was 6 again. Whatever happened to my lunchbox... when came the day that it got thrown away and don’t you think I should have had some say in that decision?!?!?!?

S: Oh, wow. It sounds like you have a lot of pent-up emotional pain... perhaps that is why you are the greatest song writer of your time. Did you at least have any siblings or good friends that helped you deal with all of this childhood stress?

J: my brother Ben– I miss him every day. He looks just like his brother John, but on an 18 month delay.

S: It sounds to me like you love him a lot. How about your parents? Tell us a little bit about them.

J: Mama said “think before speaking”. Maybe I will tell you all about it when I’m in the mood to lose my way with words.

S: Sounds good to me. Let’s move on to the present. I’m sure all of our curious readers are wondering how you spend your Friday nights.

J: Staying home alone, flat on the floor looking back on old love (or lack thereof).

S: John, you really do sound so distressed.

J: I’m jaded– I hate it. I’m tired of being alone but I’m not sure who I’m looking for.

S: How about your song-writing... I’m sure you’ve got that more together than your love life. After reading your lyrics, it seems to me that you have come to understand a lot about life and you really seem happy and complete.

J: So what, so I’ve got a smile on. It’s hiding the quiet superstitions in my head. I’m smiling cause I’m scared as hell. Don’t believe me when I say I’ve got it down.

S: You do have some really good friends, though. Your friend Scotty writes a very good road journal on your website, and he seems to really care about you.

J: Everybody’s just a stranger. All I feel’s alone. It might be a quarter life crisis or just the stirring in my soul.

S: Maybe, so. I’m sure whatever it is, it will pass quickly. You are an eligible young bachelor with a bright career ahead of you. No matter what, you always have your music, right?

J: Sometimes I wonder about the outcome of a still verdict less life. Am I living it right? Am I living it right? Am I living it right?

S: Whoa, calm down. I think only Georgia has the answer to that question.

J: Damn baby, you frustrate me.

S:..... I think this interview has taken a rather serious turn. As we come to a close, is there anything else you’d like to share with your fans? Any goals for the future?

J: I just wanna be liked; I just wanna be funny. And...........I wanna be Superman.

S: That’s very cute. Is there anything the fans can do to help you out with your dream?

J: Oh, make me a red cape and send your prayers to me care of 1983.

S: Okay John! Thank you so much for stopping by and chatting with us. It has been a pleasure.

i've sort of been keeping up with exercise.
yesterday: biking, pilates
today: pilates-swim-pilates
but i have not been keeping up with eating healthy.
or with not spending money (although i did only order a side salad at denny's. and i got to pay student's price for a movie ticket because i have my cool new BruinCard).

today i went to a DECA meeting to give the new council all of my wisdom. if i were them i'd feel so overwhelmed... and it is overwhelming. i forgot how much work we did . how much planning cooperating motivating AHH i am so glad it is o v e r

i watched bend it like beckham today at hazard center w/ stacy shell and sal. it was VERY good. wow lover. denny's is always good. stalking is always good. except for when the stalkee's sister opens the garage door, says sal.

i got some cool pics back from price club today.
Watched "Bend it like Beckham" today--GREAT MOVIE. I loved it!! There was a hot man in it that wore lots of suits that made me want to rape him with his permission--except I would never EVER make him run or dance...because then he just looks...well... "just jack!" comes to mind. Keira Knightley and the Indian girl--I like them. And I loved the girl that didn't have the perfect body on the "football" team :)

But oh, during the movie I was reminded sooo much like guard. I seriously miss it. Being a part of a team, the trips and travels, the jamey drama, the laughs, the hot coach, even the freaking practices and across the floors. In the movie they did "side back side front" and prances and everything! If anything, I wish I could continue on... I was watching E.T. and the field show songs came on and I just turned into a puddle of goo. I really miss it all. Especially the sweat.
I do not have work for the rest of the week:) and I don't have work at zainy brainy for 2 weeks :)

ow. the morning after, I'm completely sore. But its the good type of sore. This girl--hey fuji--once told me it would hurt because it works different muscles than the ones we used in guard, but i didn't believe her. So I'm in all sorts of hurt but it's good!:D And the girl I wanted to win surf girls won and that made me happy too:)

Saved by the bell here I come.

Lovers list: 102 and counting...

sonya took me "surfing" today. It was actually pretty hilarious because I couldn't do anything to save my life. And I kept getting eat up by whole forests of kelp and seaweed. I hate that feeling-- its like they're all closing in on me--my version of claustrophobia. But I had a "friend" out there that was in the same position as me...only she kept getting in sonya's way. There are some hot men, some not so hot men, some old men, some creepy men, some slutty girls, some men with metal detectors and only one that looked like matthew lawrence--jack from boy meets world-- at the beach.

Work was okay because no one was in the store. no people=michelle happy. On the way home I saw another shoe in the middle of the road. This time it was at mira mesa and it was a boys black skater shoe with a white stripe. Do people just not like their shoes anymore?? what's going on here!??!

Sunday, July 27, 2003

woo-haw!! Went running with sonya and stacy after a long time of just sitting on my couch and eating. Then stacy and I tried to explain to sonya the idea of two stomachs which stacy totally DOES NOT have, though she swears that she does. On the way home I saw a white platform shoe--excuse the sterotype but the kind that the barbies wear, just so you have a mental image-- in the middle of the road. This made me laugh and I felt happy.
there are some moments... some moments where I am extremely proud of my dad and admire him greatly.

I think I look like a boy...its very very weird.
i had such a weird dream. maybe bc i slept from midnight to noon exactly. anyway i was on mira mesa blvd righht where it crosses with black mountain and i was standing by the burger king with stacy burningham and some other people... and we saw john mayer. and i was so excited because it was finally my chance to talk to him. i wanted him to go across the street with us so i waited until there were no cars and i yelled RUNNNNN and we all ran except he stayed on the other side. grrr. he was being very difficult and he kept saying weird stuff, mocking us. finally we all got across the street and we saw some other people and i was trying to introduce john to them but he was being really weird. he saw stacy b. and he was like "i thought i'd never see you again!!!", like he was in love with her. and then he looked at me and said "wow you're really....gray" (because i was wearing a gray sweater) ...umm okay john. and then i forgot what happened but suddenly i was crossing the quad to go to my first class in the P buildings on the very first day of school. yes i was back at mt. carmel. i was the first one in class but i was only wearing a towel and my hair was all wet but i had my backpack. mrs. brooks was my teacher and i said "oh im so late!...well... im the first one here but i was late... i'm not even dressed... can i please go to the bathroom???" and she said no so i said PLEASEEEEEE and then she let me go. i spent like 20 minutes in the bathroom changing and then i came back and everyone was in the quad playing some game. and then i saw doug!! and i was like omg and i wanted to hug him and he's like "no not now" .. and then i was sitting down and he started playing with my hair or something haha and then that was it.
yessssssss i connected my mp3 player!! i am SO happy =)
I love waking up to a beautiful day... and not to my neigbors conversation of keeping fruit fresh in the freezer and trainning their dog to "speak."

nevertheless, beautiful day :)
