home now. i just got back from watching lord of the rings: return of the king at sadies house. i missed that girl--shes funny. really, really funny. I'm so awake. I took a nap after I got home from the airport today, plus in Hawaii it would only be like 11:30 so here i am just tapping away at a keyboard. In the span of about 7 hours I watched the sun set in oahu and rise in los angeles. crazy huh? i thought so.

so now my heart is breaking. absolutely crushed. and now all i'm trying to do is find my way back...

I had a dream that sonya came back last night and she kept trying to wipe her arm on me because (she's wearing a blue sweater) she dunk her arm in the ocean in hawaii and wanted me to like have hawaii water? I dunno...it was weird.

I don't want to leave. I want the island to swallow me whole. Please...I'm so in love with this place I want it to be a part of me.

what did i see today? purple trees, a dead bird, a squirrel chasing another squirrel, a baby, a woman wearing pants stained by the wet grass she was sitting on, barb in the sculpture garden, an unexpected couple, track atheletes sprinting at insane speeds, my spanish t.a. from last quarter.

i'm starting to understand how there aren't enough hours in a day. 9am-4pm: CLASS. i just got back... tonight i want to go to gymnastics, watch barb and amy's tennis match, and go to pilates. that means i won't be able to start my homework until 10:30. i probably need food and shower too, so... 11:30.

can i just type something for my own use? thanks. ling reading, seminar reading, seminar paper brainstorming and outline, stats study problems, english read great expectations, english brainstorm and write paper, english write critique.
P.S.: i know no one cares what work i have to do (and i don't care what work you have to do), i just wanted to write a to-do list type thing for myself.

i don't understand how no one in my class likes dickens. he's too verbose... he draws things out too much... it's boring. how do they not see the simple humanness (uhh..) of his words. and the subtle humor. just the way the repetition tap dances in my head... it's so good; people should give it a chance.

tonight, baby: flyaways from the high bar! kips! backhandsprings! aerials! front tucks! back tucks... NO! gotta work from now till then. bye!

reorganized

so today has been good. woke up at 9 and went straight to the pool. did half a mile, wanted to faint. shower, lunch had a really good salad for me. office hours for help with ling, found a DUMB mistake i made on my midterm (oh well), stats lecture didn't fall asleep! done for the day.. a lot of stats to do. seminar reading (the philosophy of rights.. not bad), great expectations for the second time. need to think about my seminar paper: gay rights- i'm excited. as much as i hate writing papers i secretly love it a little bit. oh and tae bo tonight because it feels good to sweat through your shirt.

i miss the ocean. i think maybe i was a fish in my past life. my skin aches to be wet.. okay that sounds kind of awkward but- i always want to be in the water, is what i mean. i settle for the pool eagerly. i seriously belong in the water.

i think everyone should go see Saved! at first i thought it was a really religious movie that i wouldn't be able to relate to, but that wasn't the case. It was more about tolerance and self-discovery in a world where everyone is telling you what to believe. and it was really funny. and i like maccauly culkin because i pretend he is kieran. i found a pic of them together... it's cute. so after the movie screening last night mandy moore came for a little Q&A. she said her movies are usually bad (haha). it was kind of weird seeing her right in front of my face, i guess. i enjoyed it.

so... i guess overall it has been a good week. yay shell is coming back soon... and taking my board to go surfing. take me withhhh you. parents visiting on saturday- thank goodness i need waaaater! (and love). :-)

I miss things. I shall go work now. Bye internet friends.

hawaii update:
this morning we hiked up diamond head. i was sweaty and my legs sorta felt like jello but man, it was so awesome. except for the swarms of bugs waiting for us at the top. but i loved it, i felt very exhilarated. the hike down was worse than the hike up--and the funny thing was i was "Racing" my dad and i heard this person start running behind me and i thought it was my dad so i started running too. only it wasNT my dad and the guy put up his hand like "I'm not trying to race you"--my brother started laughing at me. it was all very funny.

went snokeling at hanauma bay--so awesome. there was this BIG FISH--think "Big Fish" and I freaked out :) I made a sand castle but the ocean ate it. Afterwards, the sun was really pretty because it kept coming in and out of the clouds and you could see its rays. quite beautiful.

early this morning I started planning my return trip for new years:) Hopefully I'll be able to stay at the Hale Koa for cheap and bring FRIENDS. so start saving money this summer :)

it's nice to see the country taking itty bitty steps toward true "liberty and justice" for all.

just watched whale rider again. yesterday we went to the polynesian culture center so of course my dad wanted to see the maori.

since i told sonya i would blog about the hula man, here goes. on friday night we went to the paradise cove luau and the WHOLE time i kept lovering this guy from afar. he was the guy who blew the concha shell:) and then he danced and i just thought it was so adorable how much fun he seemed to be having. at the end, all the people were at the exit so you could take pictures with them and my sister and i got a picture. his name is something i cant say haha. but then he said something to my brother--my brother was dumming earlier and he made some nice comment about it even though we all know my brother was far from anything good. I SWEAR i've never been as attracted to a sweaty, bare-chested hula dancing man than in that second. Oh LOVER. I wanted to grab him and shove him into a closet;) please oh please, come with me back to the "main-land" lover lover lover SEX lover lover lover lover lover

I'm red. I dont know what that means because i've never had sunburn. at least, my sister says its not sunburn...

ive never felt so WHITE in my life. standing next to a bunch of tan people will make you feel that way. at least it stopped rainning.
