This is a result of having too much time on our hands, combined with suppressed anger.
To whom it may concern:
We would like to take this opportunity to express our utter disgust and lack of respect for the Mt. Carmel High School Administration and yearbook advisor. We feel that these individuals have blatently disregarded and ignored the interests of the very party that they oversee: the students. We sincerely feel that our grievences are justified on the grounds that said party has clearly failed to address, or advance, the interests of anyone other than themselves. This lack of support has severely hindered our growth as students and individuals. We no longer view Mt. Carmel as a place that encourages learning, self-advancement, creativity etc.
The enormous rift that exists between Administration/Advisor and the students is only expanded by their negligence. The Administation and Yearbook Advisor isolate themselves and make decisions based on presumstions while being completely blind to the true needs of the student body. Who are they to make decisions that directly affect individual sutdents without first seeking consultation? Even when the students try to voice their opinions, they fail to reach the ears of those who should be actively listening. Thus, the Administration/Advisor reign in voluntary ignorance--their apathy towards students is obvious.
Furthermore, their desire to reach out and connect with students is hindered by their own feelings of superiority. The Administation/Advisor's entire perception of their roles in the school setting is skewed. Students are NOT as bad as they assume. Similarily, Administration is not as infalliable as they perceive themselves to be. Generally, the Student Body is fully capable of making mature, responsible decisions. The more the Administration and Yearbook Advisor try to control and oppress students, the more their plan will backfire.
In this great land of participatory democracy, said perpatrators seem reminiscent of dictators, such as: Hitler, Mussolini and General Francisco Franco.
The goal of this letter is not to offend or attack (Although it does). It should not be viewed as anything but an honest criticism of the status of Mt. Carmel.
Sincerely,
Concerned Alumni :)

P.S.--ya jerks!!!

yay I'm happy because JohnnAY depp won best actor in a feature film (i think?) at the SAGs...and Lotr:RotK won cast ensemble which was so awesome. When I really want someone to win something in particular, I always hold my breath when the presenter says "And the ________ (insert award name here) goes to..." I also do this when watching ice skating and someone I like is about to do a jump because theres always doubt on whether or not they'll land bootifully.
I gave up on homework today and took a bubble bath. What fun! It was nice to listen to the rain outside. I made santa claus beards and pretended to be an old man, then white foamy crowns and pretended to be a queen. I thought about the scenes in the little mermaid and acted them out. I blew bubbles, and sunk into the water to listen to my own breathing, then underneath that, my own heartbeat. I stayed there until my hands got all wrinkly.
People should take more baths.
